We are a family owned and operated agency. Based in Boise, Idaho, I am licensed to sell Health and Life insurance in Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Utah. I have been an agent since 2004. The majority of our clients live in Southwestern Idaho. Doughty Insurance focuses on the Medicare market and the needs of those of 50 years and older.

 

Prior to becoming an insurance agent, I worked in the medical instruments industry for Olympus Corporation both in Southern California and later in New Mexico. We moved here from Albuquerque back in 1991, where I worked as Director of Marketing for Image National based in Boise. I have a Masters Degree in Business which enabled me to teach at Boise State College of Business as an Adjunct Professor, where I have taught various courses principle among them were Business and Human Resource Law.

 

My background and experience qualify me see the individual needs of each client while looking at the trends and issues that face the Medicare environment. Being a Medicare member as well, I know and understand the issues that our clients face. As you can see by my cover page, I enjoy fly fishing and of course spoiling my grandchildren. My wife Tamara is an artist/teacher, together we share a studio/office in the Gem Center for Arts off of Vista right behind the “Washer Woman”.
